The second edition of the International Advanced Mobility Forum (IAMF) will focus on how to provide the energy for individual transportation alternatives in the future and on technological solutions to reduce energy consumption. The International Advanced Mobility Forum will take place from March 10-12, 2009, again in conjunction with the Geneva International Motor Show.
The objective of this scientific and public forum is to promote environmentally friendly technologies and energy sources. For this event, Geneva Palexpo is working in partnership with the Competence Center for Energy and Mobility (CCEM) of the Paul Scherrer Institut, the Swiss Association e’mobile, Gasmobil AG, Euresearch and the International Energy Agency (IEA). The event is also supported by the Swiss Federal Energy Office within their program “EnergySwitzerland”, the International Federation of Automotive Engineering Societies (FISITA), the Geneva International Motor Show, the Erdöl-Vereingung and by auto-schweiz.
The second edition will be essentially dedicated to alternative energy sources, optimization of existing fuels and future distribution strategies for alternatives in power-generating, including electricity. The two latter topics will be debated by renowned experts in two round table discussions; one of them focusing more on the consumer while the other will mainly concentrate on technical aspects of the infrastructure for electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles.
In addition, the automobile industry will present their latest developments in cleaner combustion engines and their vision of more ecologically sound propulsion technologies. Representatives of the International Energy Agency (IEA) and the World Energy Council will present their views on future energy sources for transportation. It is to be expected that electricity will play a pivotal role here, judging by the title of Urs Muntwyler’s lecture: „Implementing Agreement Hybrid and Electric Vehicles“. Urs Muntwyler is the chairman of the IEA.
Philippe Méan of ALPIQ, the new Swiss number one player in the European power supply market, will share with us his views on how and to what extent electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles will penetrate the market in Switzerland until 2020 while, in the final lecture of the Forum, Maurizio Maggiore of the European Commission will elaborate on the European goals to be achieved by 2020 and the significance of technical developments.

IAMF 2009 mit Blick auf die zukünftige Energieversorgung im Transportbereich
Die Energieversorgung für den Individualverkehr der Zukunft und technische Massnahmen zur Senkung des Energieverauchs stehen im Zentrum des zweiten International Advanced Mobility Forum (IAMF). Das Forum zur Mobilität der Zukunft findet vom 10. – 12. März 2009 wiederum im Rahmen des Internationalen Automobil-Salons in Genf statt.
Das wissenschaftlich öffentliche Forum hat zum Ziel, umweltfreundliche Technologien und Energieträger zu bewerben. Geneva Palexpo kann sich auf hierfür auf so namhafte Partner wie das Competence Center for Energy and Mobility (CCEM) am Paul Scherrer Institut, den schweizerischen Verband e’mobile, die Gasmobil AG, Euresearch und die Internationale Energie Agentur (IEA) zählen. Unterstützt wird das Forum unter anderem vom Schweizer Bundesamt für Energie und seinem Programm EnergieSchweiz, der International Federation of Automotive Engineering Societies (FISITA), dem Internationalen Automobil-Salon Genf sowie der Erdöl-Vereinigung und auto-schweiz.
Die zweite Ausgabe hat sich den Schwerpunkten alternative Energiequellen, Optimierung existierender Treibstoffe und zukünftige Vertriebsstrategien neuer Treibstoffe inklusive Elektrizität verschrieben. Letzteren Themenbereich diskutieren namhafte Fachleute in zwei Roundtables, einem, der den Konsument in den Vordergrund stellt, und ein zweiter, wo vor allem technische Aspekte der Infrastruktur für Elektro- und Plug-in-Hybridfahrzeuge zur Diskussion stehen.
Die Automobilindustrie wird ausserdem ihre neusten Erkenntnisse zu saubereren Verbrennungsmotoren vorstellen und ihre Vision von umweltfreundlicher Antriebstechnologie darlegen. Ferner zeigen Vertreter der Internationalen Energieagentur IEA und des Weltenergierats auf, wie sie die zukünftige Energieversorgung im Bereich Transport sehen. Elektrizität dürfte dabei eine zentrale Rolle spielen, wie beispielsweise der Titel des Referats von Urs Muntwyler, dem Vorsitzenden vom „Implementing Agreement Hybrid and Electric Vehicles“ der IEA andeutet.
Philippe Méan von der neuen Nummer 1 dem schweizerischen Stromversorgungsunternehmen auf europäischer Ebene, der ALPIQ, zeigt den Weg der Marktdurchdringung von Elektro- und Plug-in-Hybridfahrzeugen in der Schweiz bis 2020 auf, während Maurizio Maggiore von der Europäischen Kommission in seinem Schlussreferat des Forums auf die europäischen Ziele bis 2020 und die Bedeutung der technischen Entwicklung eingeht.

IAMF 2009 aura en point de mire l’approvisionnement en énergie dans le domaine du transport
L’approvisionnement en énergie pour la mobilité individuelle du futur et les mesures technologiques réduisant la consommation d’énergie seront le point de mire du deuxième International Advanced Mobility Forum (IAMF). Le forum sur la mobilité future se tiendra pour la deuxième fois dans le cadre du Salon International de l’automobile de Genève du 10 au 12 mars 2009.
Ce forum scientifique et public vise à promouvoir les technologies ainsi que les sources d’énergies respectueuses de l’environnement. Geneva Palexpo a su réunir des partenaires aussi reconnus que le Competence Center for Energy and Mobility (CCEM) de l’institut Paul Scherrer, l’association suisse e’mobile, Gasmobile AG, Euresearch et de l’International Energy Agency (IEA). Le Forum bénéficie entre autres du soutien de l’Office Fédéral de l’Energie suisse et son programme SuisseEnergie, de l’International Federation of Automotive Engineering Societies (FISITA), du Salon International de l’Automobile Genève, de l’Union Pétrolière ainsi que d’auto-suisse.
Sa deuxième édition sera essentiellement consacrée aux sources d’énergies alternatives, à l’optimisation des carburants existants ainsi qu’aux stratégies futures d’alimentation de nouveaux carburants y compris l’électricité. Ce dernier thème sera également discuté par des spécialistes lors de tables rondes ; l’une qui mettra en avant le point de vue du consommateur et une deuxième qui traitera les aspects techniques d’une infrastructure pour des véhicules électriques et hybrides plug-in.
L’industrie automobile présentera d’autre part ses dernières trouvailles en matière de moteurs à combustion propre et ses visions d’une propulsion écologique. Les représentants de l’International Energy Agency (IEA) et du Conseil Mondial de l’Energie montreront comment ils voient l’approvisionnement en énergie pour la mobilité individuelle du futur. L’électricité jouera probablement un rôle central, comme le suggère le titre du discours de Monsieur Urs Muntwyler, Président du « Implementing Agreement Hybrid and Electric Vehicles » de l’IEA.
Philippe Méan, de l’entreprise suisse d’alimentation en courant électrique ALPIQ, le nouveau numéro 1 au niveau européen, démontrera les possibilités d’une pénétration du marché des véhicules électriques et hybrides plug-in en Suisse jusqu’à l’an 2020. Maurizio Maggiore de la Commission Européenne évoquera, pour sa part, les objectifs européens jusqu’en 2020 et la signification de l’évolution technique lors de son discours de clôture du forum.
