Not to be missed - The Dialogue Sessions

The Dialogue Sessions form an important part of IAMF and are highly appreciated by the participants. They will take place during the coffee breaks on Wednesday and Thursday and provide an additional insight into the topics presented during the speaker sessions. From March 9th, the two most pertinent posters will be displayed in the Green Pavilion of the Geneva Motor Show for its entire duration where they will be able to be discovered by the 700’000 expected visitors to the event.
 

The International Advanced Mobility Forum will open on the second press day of the Geneva International Motor Show, Wednesday 7th March 2012 at 12 noon. The first key speaker will be Dr. Philipp Dietrich, former President of the Forum.

E-mobility is a big issue for the transport over the future decades. In fact, in terms of “tank-to-wheel” efficiency, tail-pipe emissions and even off-the-line acceleration battery, Audi considers battery- powered cars to be a very promising alternative to combustion engine cars.

The final session on Thursday March 8, 2012 will be chaired by François Cuenot of IEA and is featuring keynote speaker Rieder Kirstan, Executive Director AIT at Altran.

The programme of the 5th International Advanced Mobility Forum has been shaped to enable attendees to visit the Geneva International Motor Show, with the added advantage that all IAMF participants have free access to the Motor Show during the 2nd Press Day.

IAMF was created five years ago to bring together scientists and key actors from the motor industry to exchange knowledge and accelerate development. IAMF is also the occasion for a large public to learn more about individual mobility of today and tomorrow. Taking place alongside the International Geneva Motor Show, the forum has been the ideal discussion platform for many renowned experts from its first edition on and has been providing worldwide visibility to numerous highly specialised start-ups.

Researchers have recently made some amazing discoveries: electric cars will be easier to use outside large cities than within them! In addition, they will not require a special infrastructure! And young people are « instinctively » ready to re-think their relationship with transportation. These were among the main findings emanating from this 2011 edition of the IAMF.
